Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent (Play) Therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. The successful candidate will provide therapy to children and adolescents, leveraging play therapy techniques along with other therapeutic approaches to facilitate growth, resilience, and healing.
Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for new clients.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using play therapy and other relevant therapeutic modalities.

  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure holistic care.

  • Maintain accurate records and document therapy sessions and progress.

  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.

Requirements


  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.

  • Current Georgia licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Associate Professional Counselor (APC).

  • Certification or training in Play Therapy.

  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with children, adolescents, and their parents.

  • Solid understanding of child and adolescent development and family systems.

  • Adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced training or certifications in one or more of the following modalities: Sand Tray Therapy, Art Therapy, Theraplay, Psychodrama, Hypnotherapy, ERP, EFT & Tapping, TraumaPlay, Autplay, EMDR, DBT, CBT.

  • Experience working with diverse populations
